Miniature Golf to feature as a sport in the 2012 Oswestry Games

Players from the British Minigolf Association & Great Britain Squad to hold coaching sessions and tournaments at multi-sport event in Shropshire

Minigolf has been accepted as a sporting activity in the Oswestry Games a multi-sport community event which will take place in and around Oswestry, Shropshire in July 2012.

The British Minigolf Association will be taking part in the Oswestry Games on the 14th & 15th July and will be offering a mix of Coaching, Demonstrations, Have a Go activities, a Pro-Am Doubles/Team event, and an Elite Competition for BMGA Tour Pro players.

Activities will be taking place at the 18-hole Miniature Golf course at the town's Cae Glas Park on Saturday 14th July between 11am and 3pm and at Oswestry Leisure Centre on Sunday 15th July between 10am and 5pm where the BMGA will have a portable Minigolf kindly provided by PutterFingers.co.uk.

The Oswestry Games is a community event which will take place in and around Oswestry from the 6th to the 15th July 2012. Oswestry Sports Council has brought together a strong organising committee which is working hard to make the Oswestry Games a huge success and are involving local sports clubs and arts organisations in this once-in-a-lifetime event!
