Champion Minigolfers head to Glasgow PDF Print E-mail
On the eve of the inaugural European Golf Team Championships at Gleneagles, which is taking place as part of the Multi-event European Championships, Scotland's last Open Golf Champion, Paul Laurie will watch a unique challenge match at the King Putt’s Festival 2018 Crazy Golf Course in Tontine Lane between Marc Chapman, the current World Crazy Golf Champion, Andy Wilde, the reigning British Masters MiniGolf Champion, BBC golf anchor Eilidh Barbour and Scotland Rugby 7s Captain Scott Riddell.

Andy Wilde (left) and Marc Chapman (right) celebrate their victories earlier in the year.
The match is due to start at 12.10pm on Tuesday 7th August.

This represents a unique opportunity to showcase the sport of Minigolf to a wider audience, Andy and Marc are the perfect ambassadors.
Professional Fencing Coach Marc speaking ahead of the event, "I'm just looking forward to seeing the project at King Putts and engaging with both the public and the golf professionals about how the sport of Minigolf is enjoyed by millions in the UK every year and plays a massive part in introducing people other than the predominantly male, white and socially-affluent demographic to golf based activities."

Masters Champion Andy added " I'm looking forward to giving Minigolf the exposure it deserves and doing our sport proud"
