2016 BMGA Executive Committee election PDF Print E-mail

As communicated on the 12th July, the BMGA is currently looking to find the seventh member of our Executive Committee to ensure we continue to give the best possible support and experiences for our members. Having put out a request for interested members to get involved, I am delighted to announce that three people have put themselves forward to be part of the EC.

The list of candidates (in alphabetical order) is as follows:

Adrian Amey
Steve Lovell
Paul Preston

The three potential candidates are now officially nominated and we are able to start the election process for all our current Tour Pros to vote on. The membership votes on the EC, which is in place to serve the best interests of our members.

All the candidates have submitted an election manifesto to help the membership decide who they want to see on the EC.

Each candidate was asked to include answers to the following questions:

1) Why do you want to be part of the EC?
2) What do you bring in terms of experience and skills, etc to the EC that will benefit the BMGA?
3) Why should our members vote to elect you onto the EC?

The documents attached to this article represent the manifestos for each candidate.

It is now up to our 2016 Tour Pro members to vote.

Voting is now open and the candidate with the most votes after voting closes (at end of day Sunday 14 August) will be elected onto the EC. The result of the vote will be published shortly after the voting closes.

Each current Tour Pro has one vote and all votes must be emailed to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it with the subject of “EC Election” along with the name of who you are voting for.

I would like to thank Adrian, Steve and Paul for their interest in becoming part of the EC. It is always hugely encouraging for all of us on the EC to see players that are prepared to get involved and show such enthusiasm about our organisation. The thought and efforts that have gone into the manifestos are greatly appreciated and I would urge all of our Tour Pros to read through the three documents attached and ultimately vote for who they believe will represent you the best as part of the EC. Above all please ensure you vote.

Good luck to all three of our candidates and I am sure that looking at the people nominated, our new look committee will be a strong, vibrant and active committee that will enable us to continue improving and developing the BMGA going forward.
