Annual General Meeting information and call for motions PDF Print E-mail

On Saturday 28th February, the day before the 2015 BMGA season opener, the British Club Championships at Hastings Pirate Course, the BMGA Annual General Meeting will take place in Hastings (venue tbc, from 10.30am – 1pm approx).

The Executive Committee are currently requesting members motions for the AGM. Any current 2015 Tour Pro can forward a motion, details of which need to be emailed to Sean Homer, BMGA Chairman ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ) within the next 7 days (motions must be submitted by end of day Friday 20th February). All motions must be detailed in the email and due to the nature of voting (see below) will need to have a clear Yes or No outcome.

A list of the motions will then be published on the BMGA website next weekend at which point the motions will be opened up to proxy voting (again for current Tour Pro members) with a deadline of 9pm on Friday 27th February.

2015 Tour Pros will be eligible to attend the AGM and will have the opportunity to vote on any of the motions in person (NB. there is only 1 vote per member and motions will be passed or rejected on a majority vote).

One of the motions confirmed for the AGM will be regarding the official Order Of Merit. A ranking sub committee has been reviewing the rankings based on discussions last season and full details of the proposed changes will be circulated next weekend along with any additional motions and full details of the Proxy voting process (as well as the confirmed venue for the AGM).

The BMGA are also looking at a new look Executive Committee for 2015 and are keen for current Tour Pros to volunteer to be part of the 2015 EC. To ensure the EC are able to effectively support the season ahead (with the exciting prospect of the return of the World Adventure Golf Masters to the UK), the new look EC members will not necessarily be responsible for specific aspects of the BMGA organisation, but will be more focussed on providing collective support as a group for the Tour events going forward. This will enable the BMGA to continue to provide top class events and ensure a greater depth of experience and manpower as the season progressed.

Any Tour Pro interested in getting involved in the Executive Committee needs to contact Sean via email before 27th Feb.
