Entries now open for the British Matchplay Championships and British Open along with news of two new events on the 2014 calendar

The next competition on the tour sees the welcome return of the British Matchplay Championships to Bluewater Park in Kent. Having hosted the event in 2011, Sunday 6th July will see players taking part in the premier individual Matchplay competition on the tour.



Entries are now open and with the field limited to just 32 players, anyone wishing to take part is advised to register ASAP. Full details of the competiton along with the entry form and the latest list of confirmed entrants (standing at 15 players as of 2nd June) can be found at British Matchplay Championship 2014. The course are offering a day practice rate of £10 on production of a valid 2014 Tour Pro card.

July also sees a new event making its debut on the tour - the Splash Point Open - taking place on Saturday 26th July at the Splash Point Minigolf Course in Worthing. The course has previously hosted the British Matchplay Championship and the British Masters but this is the first time it has held a Club Open at the venue. Following the summer break where our Juniors will be taking part in the Youth World Championships in Finland and members of the Great Britain mens team taking part in the European Championships in Germany. the tour sees our premier event of the year taking place - the British Open - at the Pirate Course in Hastings across the weekend of 20th and 21st of September.

Two weeks later and the tour sees the return of the English Open, taking place at an all new venue on the tour, the Lost City Adventure Golf course in Nottingham. The tournament will take place on Sunday 5th October and further details of the competition will be released in the coming weeks.

With the World Crazy Golf Championships, Kent Open and British Club Championships rounding off the season along with a new December event and the anticipated return of the Midlands Open and British Doubles Championship, the 2014 season is shaping up to be another classic year of British Minigolf.
