Seventh annual Kent Open Minigolf competition to tee-off on Sunday 11th November PDF Print E-mail

Kent Open Minigolf Tournament to be held at Lost Island Encounter Adventure Golf Course in Chislehurst, Kent.


Lost Island Encounter Adventure Golf at World of Golf, Sidcup will play host to the British Minigolf Association’s final individual strokeplay event of the 2012 season on Sunday 11th November as the Kent Minigolf Club hold the annual Kent Open tournament on the 18-hole Explorers Adventure Golf Course.

The seventh edition of the Kent Open will see defending champion Seth Thomas and over 20 players including BMGA Tour Pro players and novices competing in the three-round, 54-hole tournament that tees-off at 10am. Entry to the competition is open to anyone and the fee to play is £15 for adults and £10 for under 16’s. All players will use the official Kent Minigolf Club (KMGC) Minigolf Ball that is provided to competitors as part of the entry fee. The British Minigolf Association (BMGA) is the governing body for Minigolf Sport, including Crazy Golf and Adventure Golf. Formed in 1998 the BMGA organises Minigolf competitions for its members across the UK. In 2011 there were 22 Ranking BMGA Tour competitions and a total of 12 players lifted BMGA Tour titles in Open, Invitational, Club and Doubles events. On Saturday 10th November Lost Island Encounter Adventure Golf will be the venue for the culmination of the season-long Kent Invitational Tournament (KIT). Last year Michael Smith won the KIT for second year in a row, with Sean Homer runner-up and Marc Chapman third. Cambridge’s James Rutherford won the 2011 Guest Kent Invitational Tournament prize.
