BMGA & Pirate Cove Adventure Golf in Bluewater to host weekend of Minigolf Tournaments PDF Print E-mail

Two Minigolf tournaments to be held as part of the ‘Join In Local Sport’ weekend

The British Minigolf Association and Pirate Adventure Golf at Bluewater will be hosting a weekend of Minigolf action on the 18th and 19th August as part of the UK-wide ‘Join In Local Sport’ weekend. Saturday 18th August will see BMGA Tour Pro players providing advice and tips to members of the public as they compete in the Pirate Cove Smugglers Cup, while on Sunday 19th the Smugglers course will host the Pirate Cove Open which sees Saturday’s top players take on the BMGA Pro players in an Open contest.

Sean Homer, Chairman of the BMGA said “The weekend promises to be a unique double header in BMGA history, I am sure we will see some rising stars of the future putting their way around the excellent Smugglers course. We are delighted to encourage more people to get involved in the exciting and fun sport of Minigolf.”

The Pirate Cove Smugglers Cup is open to all ages and abilities with a junior group for the under 16’s, so the whole family can participate. The competition costs £5 per round per person and participants are able to enter as many times as they wish to try and beat the top score. A round of Smugglers Adventure Golf takes about one hour to complete. The Pirate Cove Open 2012 is a three-round Minigolf competition that is open to all BMGA members and any keen amateurs looking to take on a challenge. Entry to the Pirate Cove Open 2012 is £10.
