2010 London Open at The Green Indoor Mini Golf, Hither Green, Sunday 1st August The reigning BMGA British Club Champions, the London Minigolf Club, will be holding their Club Open competition on Sunday 1st August with the London Open minigolf tournament taking place at the 18-hole Swedish Felt minigolf course at The Green Indoor Mini Golf, in Hither Green. The event is open to anyone to enter and spectators are also welcome. The tournament will tee-off at 9.30am on Sunday 1st August and will consist of four rounds of strokeplay competition. Entry to the event is £15 for adults and £10 for juniors (under 18’s). A practice rate will be available for BMGA members of Saturday 31st July. London Minigolf Club Captain Steve Gow said "This will be the first time a full BMGA Tour Minigolf tournament has been played on a European ‘Swedish Felt’ standard course, so it should really be a great test of putting skill." Sean Homer, BMGA Chairman said "It's great that we are going to The Green at Hither Green for the London Open. Nick Sandqvist, the course owner, has built a challenging yet very playable indoor Swedish Felt course and the whole set up at the venue is terrific. A large number of our regular tour players have already visited the course since it opened earlier in the year and the tournament on the 1st August promises to be a cracking event. It's also the final BMGA tour event before a small summer break, we start up again with the Planet Hastings Open at the beginning of September, so we are expecting a large field, with a strong local presence, something that has epitomised the London Open since its inception." Cambridge’s Adam Kelly won the 2009 London Open in October last year when he won by five clear shots in defeating 21 other players at the Adventure Golf course at Lammas Park, Staines.
