Kevin Moseley wins the Midland Invitational Tournament 2009 PDF Print E-mail
Fourteen members of the Midlands Minigolf Club (MMGC) travelled to Stratford-Upon-Avon on Sunday 17th May to compete in the Midlands Invitational Tournament (MIT).

Played over 36-holes at the 18-hole Recreation Ground course, Bath’s Kevin Moseley won the tournament and in doing so achieved his first BMGA Tour victory with scores of 32 (-4) and 32 (-4), for a two round total of 64 (-8).

Second was Chris Harding with 69 (-3), and Jam Trubridge was third with 72 (par). In fourth, and achieving his highest tournament finish to date, was Jas Kukielka with 75 (+3).

In a BMGA Tour first, three generations of a family competed in the same tournament as Arthur, Chris and Matthew Harding all took part, with Arthur making his debut.  MIT winner Kevin Moseley said “I'm pleased to win my first minigolf tournament, especially in the poor weather and even after I caught my finger in a door on Sunday morning! Stratford is a nice course to play on, particularly since the felt surface was re-laid. It was also a pleasure to play against all three generations of the Harding family in my two rounds. I’m looking forward to returning to the course later in the year for the Midlands Open and to repeat my scores if possible!”

The Midlands Minigolf Club ‘A’ team are the reigning BMGA British Club Champions and will be looking to retain the title when they defend it at Sandbanks, Dorset on the 4th October.

The Stratford-Upon-Avon Minigolf Course will be the host for the 2009 Midlands Open tournament, details of which will follow soon.
